Quite Time For Puppies
Some people look at this and say, “poor puppies, locked up in a pen!” But let’s have some real talk. I’m spring cleaning (a couple of months late, yes, I’m aware) and I need the dogs to entertain themselves for a while, as will most pet owners at some point. As a puppy trainer, part of my job is making sure these little ones can hang out comfortably and without panicking. It simply makes for a happier, more content dog—and owner!!! This nice little x-pen also helps us along in the potty training process. We start off in the crate or pen, then one room, then a couple of rooms, etc, until the puppy knows we don’t relieve ourselves in the house. Lastly, when the puppies are in this pen, they are safe! They can play or sleep or hang out and chew on one of the many toys and puppy safe chewies they have. Just as you would not turn your one-year-old loose with free reign in your house, neither should you let a puppy—who, btw, explores the world with his mouth—freely wander your home before he or she is ready. This is THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE of potty training and destruction problems. Too much freedom too soon. Remember—crawl before you walk! And keep those puppies safe!!
